Mike's love of photography started when he was at school my mum used to take pictures of all sorts of things and being a little artistic and creative it was not long before I was taking pictures . My professional photographic career really started working for one of the largest newspaper groups in South Africa as a photographer in the early 1980s/1990,s. I have had numerous bylines and accolade's for some of my images during my career while supplying numerous news outlets and publications with my images. Mike now works as a freelance photographer based in Liverpool.
All this experience has allowed Mike to develop a creative inquisitive instinctive style of photography, which enables him to adapt to any situation in front of the camera. Mike often shoots images on the fly to capture a image that tells a story .
Mike continues to be a very active photographer to this present day. Mike is also a teacher of photography with a wealth of experience and is a member or the Royal photography society. When I look back at it somehow I managed to do something I love and built a career out of it. I am still out there continuing to take pictures. Some one once asked me" whose side am I on " I replied simply "I don't take sides I take pictures."
